13th May 2020

Dear Parents & Carers,

I am sure that many of you will have now seen and read the updates from the Prime Minister and Government regarding the modification of the lock down arrangements and subsequent announcement of the reopening of Early Years, Year One and Year 6 classes after half term.

I have no doubt that it will have raised some questions and concerns. As further information unfolds, with clearer guidance from the Government and the Department for Education (DfE) on how it will be possible to maintain social distancing in school to keep our children, staff and families safe, we will be working on our strategy plan for the directed ‘phased opening’.

I would be grateful if parents do not contact the school in the coming week to enquire about the possible opening arrangements because it will take some time to process and plan accordingly.

For now, Camrose remains open only to the children of key workers and vulnerable children if they cannot be safely cared for at home. We will continue to provide pupil work on the school website to those who are not attending school. I will be in touch with further correspondence next week but in the meantime please try not to worry. The school will always act in the best interests of our families, children and staff and will do our very best to keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your ongoing messages of thanks and support as we navigate through this complex time together.

Your sincerely

Mrs S Crick

Headteacher
