Writing Parent Workshop

Targeted Writing Workshop EYFS Parents

We looked at the ELG expectation for writing and gave parents copies (in home languages).

Staff modelled a writing lesson to parents looking at extending sentences to use adjectives and conjunctions. A phonics lesson was also modelled; focusing in particular on segmenting and blending.

We discussed useful websites that they can access at home.

All parents received a copy of the high frequency words that pupils need to read and write.

We looked at examples of pupil’s work.
