RRSA Article 3: All organisations concerned with children should work towards what is best for the children.

Well done!

Dear Parents/Carers

As I'm sure you are aware, SATs results were reported last week.

Year 2 pupils have worked extremely hard to 'catch-up' but unfortunately are not quite there yet. This is also the picture nationally and is of no great surprise to us as these pupils essentially missed almost all of EYFS and parts of Year 1.

Assessment for KS1 show: 53% of pupils attaining the expected standard for Reading, 47% for Writing and 58% for Math.

This is a far below our usual standard but rest assured plans are in place to address this. A Year 2 parent meeting has been scheduled for 3pm on Tuesday 12th July to discuss the plan for September.

Year 6 results were pleasing; again reflecting the national picture of the older pupils 'catching-up' at a quicker pace having not missed the fundamental learning that takes place in the Early years and KS1.

Assessment for KS2 shows: 88% of pupils attaining the expected standard for Reading, 71% for Writing, 86% for Math and 95% for SPAG.

Although Greater Depth was not reported we are able to calculate this based on the pupils individual scores.

42% of pupils achieved Greater Depth in Reading, 15% in Writing, 60% in Math and 59% in SPAG.

I'd like to say a huge well done to all of our Year 2 and 6 pupils who have worked hard to achieve the best they could.
