RRSA Article 3: All organisations concerned with children should work towards what is best for the children.

End of Term

This is very fast approaching.  Almost two thirds of the way through the year and the Summer Term looks to be just as packed as the Autumn and Spring were!

I’d like to wish you all a very restful Easter break and look forward to seeing you on Monday 15th April.

I'd like to thank Mrs Stonestreet, who is leaving us at the end of the term, for all the amazing work she has accomplished during her time at Camrose.

She will be missed by everyone.

On behalf of the children, staff, parents and governors, we would like to wish her well for the future.

Dear Parents/Carers

It is with sadness that I am writing to inform you that I will be leaving Camrose and will not be returning after Easter due to illness in the family. It has been a pleasure to work with you and your children for the last 6 years and, within those years, I’ve been lucky enough to work with most children if not all of them.

There are many great things about working at Camrose, but I will especially miss the sense of family that the Camrose community brings.

I want to wish you all the best in the future and hope that your children will continue to thrive and become the best that they can be, both here at Camrose and into their future.

Kind regards,

Mrs Stonestreet

Nursery, Reception and Year 1 pupils held a tea party to celebrate Mother's Day

The very successful Mother’s Day tea parties were held to celebrate all the amazing things that our Mummy’s do for us.
We linked these afternoons with ‘Women’s Day’, so that if a mummy couldn’t attend, then a sister, aunty or grandma would be very welcome. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together as a school community and celebrate this important event.

We sang a song together, presented dances, shared food and drinks, did craft activities together, iced and decorated biscuits, socialised together and had a little dance.

We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed spending quality time together as well as building up home and school relationships.

SCHOOLCOMMS

As you may know, we now use an app called SCHOOLCOMMS (also called SCHOOL GATEWAY) for parents to pay for clubs, trips etc.

We still have a lot of parents who haven't registered to use this.

If you are unsure how to do this, please come to the office and speak to Jenni, who will help set you up on this.

After-School Clubs

You can now book and pay for your child's after-school clubs online through SCHOOLCOMMS.

The last day for booking clubs will be the 28th March 2024, the last day of school.

Please ensure you pay and book first, before sending the yellow consent slip to the office.

LOST PROPERTY

We have a huge amount of lost property in the school office, including coats!

If your child is missing an item of clothing, please come and have a look to see if it is there.

Please ensure that all items of clothing and plimsolls are marked clearly with your child's name and class. This helps us to return the items to their rightful owner.

Thank you.

Timekeeping / Attendance

Every minute of every day matters.

The number of children coming to school late is increasing.

Please make sure your children are in school before 8.45am

The Fit4Life

A charter has been produced in conjunction with the London Borough of Harrow, the Public Health team and Harrow Education Partnership. This charter is a commitment from ALL Harrow schools to improve the health outcomes of its pupils.

As a parent of a Harrow pupil, it is expected that you uphold your section of this charter by pledging to:

  • Reduce the amount of sugary foods and drinks
  • Provide healthy snacks at the end of the school day
  • Exercise with children outside of school for at least 30 minutes a day – this could be as simple as a walk
  • Sign-up and regularly attend an NHS Dentist and ensure your child brushes their teeth at least twice a day.
  • Ensure your children are up-to-date with vaccinations
  • Talk to your children each day about how they are feeling and how their day went.

Health and Fitness must be a priority to help improve your children’s life chances.

In every newsletter we will be inserting a reminder of what we, as a school, will do to support the health and wellbeing of your child, as well as a reminder of your pledge as a parent.
