RRSA Article 3: All organisations concerned with children should work towards what is best for the children.

Dear parents / carers,

The term so far has been very busy and this half-term, although short, has been no different.

SATs are fast approaching for Year 6 as well as the Year 4 Multiplication tests and Phonics Screening for KS1 pupils. This is a very important time for both the pupils and the school, so I’d like to take this opportunity to remind parents that your child’s excellent attendance is vital to ensure good progress is made.

Year 6, please ensure that you do not book any appointments for your child between the 12th May and the 15th May.

Year 4 Multiplication Tests will be held on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th June.

Phonics Screening tests for all Year 1 pupils will take place the week of 9th June.

Please ensure your child attends school during these periods, and you do not arrange any appointments during these times if relevant for your child.

Collection at the end of the school day

It is your responsibility to collect your child at the correct time at the end of the school day, 3.20pm.

If for any reason, you are going to be late or another parent will be collecting your child, please call the school office as a matter of urgency.

Hot Weather!

While the weather is hot, please can you ensure that you apply suncream to your child before they come to school and make sure they bring a water bottle to school.

Thank you

REMINDER - MOBILE PHONES

Year 5 and Year 6 children can bring a mobile phone to school ONLY if they walk to and from school alone.  Parents should fill out a mobile phone consent form. This is available from the office.  Mobile phones should then be switched off and brought to the office where they will be kept in a locked drawer during the day.

Lost Property

Please come to the office and check for any lost property.

We have a huge amount of it, including coats!

Updating contact details and lunch and collection from school preferences

Please ensure you inform the office of any new contact details, and if you wish to change your child's lunch preference, please let the office know.

Please remember to update your 'collection from school' people with the school office.

Summer PE Kit

As the weather is now a lot warmer, the summer PE kit should be used in school. This should be either burgundy or black shorts, and a white t-shirt with or without the school logo.

Please ensure all items of clothing have your child's name and class written on them.  Thank you.

Daily Absence

Just a reminder, you must call school every day when your child is absent from school.

Please speak slowly and clearly, giving your child's full name and class when leaving a message on the answer phone. Thank you
