RRSA Article 3: All organisations concerned with children should work towards what is best for the children.

A huge Well Done to the Camrose Basketball team who, after a monumental effort, finished second at the Year 5/6 Basketball Finals day at Salvatorian College.

Adam, David, Jason, Vlad, Miriam and Quesianah played so well to win their group and then won a tense semi-final in over-time before finally succumbing in the Final.

It was an amazing effort by everyone. Well done!

Weekly Parent surgery

All parents are welcome to attend the Parent Surgery drop ins on Friday mornings from 8:30-9:00am. A Romanian and Arabic PEP parent will be available to translate any queries or questions you may have.

What is JigSaw Families?

Jigsaw Families is a cutting-edge programme, supporting you and your child with the knowledge, skills and confidence to develop healthy, strong, lasting and loving relationships.

At Camrose we provide an informal, friendly and safe environment for you to explore the challenges of being a parent and offer strategies to help meet some of your needs to achieve this.

If you are interested in finding out more, please ask the school office for more information.

World Book Day: 7th March

World Book Day is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income.

We want to see more children with a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and the improved life opportunities this brings them.

World Book Day: 7th March

Lost Property.

We have a huge amount of lost property, including coats and jackets in the office.

Please check at home if your child has lost theirs and come and check in the lost property box which is in the school office.

SCHOOLCOMMS

As you may know, we now use an app called SCHOOLCOMMS for parents to pay for clubs, trips etc.

We still have a lot of parents who haven't registered to use this.

If you are unsure how to do this, please come to the office and speak to Jenni, who will help set you up on this.

Have you changed your contact details?

It is very frustrating when a child is unwell, and we are unable to contact their parents / carers because they haven't informed us about a change of mobile/email address.

Please ensure you give this updated information to the school office.  Thank you.

Timekeeping / Attendance

Every minute of every day matters.

The Fir4Life

A charter has been produced in conjunction with the London Borough of Harrow, the Public Health team and Harrow Education Partnership. This charter is a commitment from ALL Harrow schools to improve the health outcomes of its pupils.

As a parent of a Harrow pupil, it is expected that you uphold your section of this charter by pledging to:

  • Reduce the amount of sugary foods and drinks
  • Provide healthy snacks at the end of the school day
  • Exercise with children outside of school for at least 30 minutes a day – this could be as simple as a walk
  • Sign-up and regularly attend an NHS Dentist and ensure your child brushes their teeth at least twice a day.
  • Ensure your children are up-to-date with vaccinations
  • Talk to your children each day about how they are feeling and how their day went.

Health and Fitness must be a priority to help improve your children’s life chances.

In every newsletter we will be inserting a reminder of what we, as a school, will do to support the health and wellbeing of your child, as well as a reminder of your pledge as a parent.
